ABOUT US
Pixel Lake is a small game studio built on a farm in Taupo, surrounded by sheep, chickens and some of the best scenery in the country. We're probably the only game studio in town. Part of what drives us is proving that you don't need to be in a big city to make great games.


Our team brings years of professional experience from both inside and outside the game industry. We cover game design, engineering, platform architecture and publishing. Mobile is our home turf. We understand the platform constraints, the player expectations, and the business realities.
We're also pushing into AI-driven game development. We believe AI will play a major role in the tools pipeline, from asset generation to testing to level design. Not as a replacement for creativity, but as a way to move faster and try more ideas without burning out a small team. It's how a studio our size can punch well above its weight.
